Monday 25th - INDOOR MEETING 8.15pm.
The Natural History of Turkey by Michael Keith-Lucas.


Saturday 14th - Maple Lodge NR. A moth/bat evening based in the Club House from 6.00pm onwards, weather permitting. Refreshments provided for a small fee.Joint with Maple Lodge members.

Monday 30th - INDOOR MEETING 8.15pm
In Search of the Resplendent Quetzal by Steve Carter.


Saturday 11th - Ruislip Woods to Harefield. Meet in the Mad Bess Woods car park at 10.00am for a circular morning walk to St Mary's Church in Harefield. There will be an opportunity to look at the Anzac graves in the churchyard before returning via Bayhurst Woods to the start point.

Monday 27th - INDOOR MEETING 8.15pm
British non-marine Molluscs by June Chatfield.


Saturday 9th - Rickmansworth Aquadrome to Scotsbridge Mill. Meet at 10am in front of the café at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, free CP. Following the Ebury Trail to Croxley Gr, joining the lower part of Chess Valley at Scotsbridge Mill. Return journey through the town where we can have lunch at one of the pubs.(Grid Ref TQ056937, Maps 176/172)

Saturday 6th - RSPB Pulborough Brooks and Warnham. A two-part day of late winter birdwatching. We will start off at Pulborough (RSPB) and proceed after lunch to the nearby (Surrey Wildlife Trust) reserve at Warnham. Bring picnic (or cafe) lunch. Meet in the car park at Pulborough Brooks. Joint with Hillingdon Natural History Society.

Monday 29th - INDOOR MEETING 8.15pm
Annual General Meeting followed by Cheese and Wine. Voluntary contribution of £3 appreciated.


Saturday 24th - Penn Wood. An afternoon visit to this Buckinghamshire woodland which contains a broad mixture of tree species and a regular winter roost of Brambling. Wellingtons advised if a wet winter.

Saturday 7th - The 2018 Bird Race. Our annual contest against Hillingdon Natural History Society. All day fun event, part participation welcome.

Saturday 21st - Frensham Common. A visit to this Surrey Heathland nature reserve. Meet in visitors centre car park at the Great Pond (SU 845405). Some steep sandy paths.
